The NCOA (National Change of Address) is a database compiled by the USPS consisting of moving information filed by US residents.

The database consists of both old addresses and the new addresses.

When a match to the NCOA is made the new address is returned ensuring that the postal customer will be reached at the updated address.

The NCOA database is updated weekly, and each change of address record remains in the USPS NCOA database for six months after the date of the move.
